Description

This course will educate firearms owners with the necessary mindset, skills and tactics to use a handgun in self defense. This is a fundamental class for home defenders, no experience is necessary. This is not a live fire class. This class will be conducted using S.I.R.T laser pistols with paper targets and human role players. Purchasing a gun is not going to make you safe, learning how to use it is. Get off the square range. Paper always complies.

Unconventional Shooting Platforms from Cover and Concealment.

Designed to provide introduction to the safe handling and orientation of handguns. This is a classroom course. No live firearms are present. Students will learn the rules for safe gun handling; the pistol parts, operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals; use of force and continued opportunities for skill development with laser pistols (SIRT).

This course will educate handgun owners with the necessary mindset, skills and tactics in utilizing a handgun for home defense. This is a fundamental course for home defenders to assist in developing and executing a personal defense plan utilizing a handgun. This course expands on basic handgun operating skills and the critical decisions required to apply force in home defense.

This course will educate handgun owners with the necessary mindset, skills and tactics in utilizing a handgun for home defense. This a review of the fundamental course for home defenders. This course expands level one and introduces flashlights as threat identifiers. We will work on flashlight techniques in conjunction with the handgun. Flashlight selection and the basics of illumination in a home defense encounter.  This is not a live fire course. This course uses S.I.R.T laser pistols with paper targets and human role players.

This course is to assist citizens in understanding NJ self-defense law, whether armed or unarmed, in or out of the home. Knowledge of use of force is important to guide citizens to act in accordance with the state law during a defensive encounter. There are certain elements and conditions that must be met to make one eligible for a use of force justification.
