NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation

This is a great class to take with family and friends. This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude towards proper gun handling.

NRA FIRST Steps Pistol is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one specific pistol action type for classes of four or fewer students. This course is three hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot a specific pistol action type. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular pistol model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet and FIRST Steps Course completion certificate.·   

The material is suitable for all, including children. Minimum age is 10 years old.

 Students will receive guidance during live-fire exercises.

 If you do not have a firearm, one will be supplied with ammo during the class at no additional charge.

If you have your own firearm bring it along.

If it uses a different caliber than .22 or 9 MM, bring a box of factory ammo.

This course satisfies practical requirements for the Florida Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit.

 Certificate of completion will be awarded

Time: Weekends after 2 PM class is for 2 to 4 people and will be scheduled around participants.
